BILLY BATSON

Here's a cut from '66 that seems outta place on the DECCA label. BILLBOARD even had a mention of it. Not a bad tune for somewhat of a  mainstream record company.

THE IN-BE-TWEEN

I had to look deeeep into the vault for this rare gem. As a request, this offering is from a band that hailed from "across the pond". Kim Fowley co-wrote and produced this release by The In-Be-Tween who he discovered in Wolverhampton England. The band would later morph into the '70s band....Slade.

HAL & THE PROPHETS

From 1964 comes a strong driving beat. It's a remake of a tune by the great blues man Jimmy Reed.... and the only release from this band.

THE MACH V

For their only release, this band from Savannah Georgia produced a winner.....and a rare one also! Released in 1967, band members consisted of Robbie Anderson vocals, guitar & organ ; Jim Brook on drums ; Mitch Freeman bass, vocals and John Tiedemann lead guitar. If your not lucky enough to find the original 45rpm...it has made appearances on several reissue compilations.

THE CYCLONES

Here's a Stones influenced side that's quite obscure. Released in the mid '60s, I think the band may have been from Pennsylvania. Info welcomed on this gem!
