THE SHADES

Here's a strong fuzz driven punk-er out of Iowa. Originally released on the small PRINCETON label, for some reason picked-up by the CADET label.  Not much more info known here. Circa...1968.

THE OMEGAS

The Omegas were from Montgomery County, Maryland. Members include Joe Tripplett, formerly vocalist for The Reekers (Don’t Call Me Flyface), who became The Hangmen after his departure. Also Tom Guernsey, Reekers/Hangmen founder, who wrote and produced this single. Backing vocals by the female group The Jewels. Released in 1968.

BAKER KNIGHT

From 1967 comes a different style release from Baker. He had a some rockabilly cuts in the '50s that influenced those mop-tops from across the pond (what was their name...?) anyway..this one was a B-side, but gets an A-side status on my player. Baker left us in 2005....but his sounds will always carry on.
